Shehzad’s savage critique of Rizwan hits harder than a bouncer on the chin!
Mohammad Rizwan’s recent performance against Bangladesh was as useful as a chocolate teapot, and former Pakistan batter Ahmed Shehzad isn’t holding back. In a classic case of ‘showing him the mirror’, Shehzad called out Rizwan for failing to step up as a senior player when it mattered most. Ouch!
Rizwan’s innings resembled a pie chucker’s delivery — all fluff and no substance. As a senior, the expectation is to guide the youngsters and deliver when the chips are down, but Rizwan’s lack of aggression left fans and critics fuming. It’s time for him to take a long hard look at his role in the squad and figure out if he’s going to be a leader or just another passenger.
With the World Cup looming, Pakistan can’t afford any more ‘flop shows’. The pressure's on Rizwan to step up his game and show that he’s more than just a name on the team sheet. Can he bounce back and reclaim his spot as the team’s backbone? Only time will tell!
